The Grand Facade
Grand Façade by Davin Lavikka. Mixed media, bight green paint over wooden dowel. Miniature figures placed throughout piece. This piece represents the idea of the fake environment that we live in today, in that it looks like spray painted metal, but is in fact made from wood. The addition of the small human figures completes the theme of how humans shape their environment to look more "green," but in the end, are only creating a false image of nature.
28 inches by 77 inches by 10 inches deep.
